Charlene's Charming Basket

This basket starts with an 8” x 12” wooden slotted racetrack base. The stakes are ½” smoked flat reed. The sides are woven with flat natural reed. #3 round natural and dyed reed stakes are added after the first several rows are woven. The round reed sits on top of the stakes and are woven in as overlays. The #3 round reed is then woven as the Gretchen border to finish the basket. The finished basket is about 10" wide by 16" long by 8" tall. Kits are available in teal and denim blue.
